FAI is a small group of people dedicated to research and development in the fields of factory and process automation. We have been designing computer based methods
of decision making in real time since 1973.
Although we never even tried to advertise, our business has grown steadily by word of mouth and repeat orders from a relatively small group of users.
The Internet gives us the opportunity to let you know about our technology.
Over the years, we have pioneered and innovated several concepts, such as the forward chaining inference engine.
user definable rules for computer based controls,
integrated controls and HMI functions, built-in simulator, distributed automation via LAN, remote operation and monitoring
using the Internet.
We have installed a plant automation system for the post office in 1975 (Cleveland, OH) and an ammunition
in 1976 (Shreveport, LA). Our tools have allowed quick and inexpensive development of a variety of complex - first of the kind - applications. (Nuclear plant simulator, transmission line fault locator, in-service meter analyzer,
fire alarm auxiliary system, blending facilities, intelligent substation RTU, etc.)
If you are serious about reducing the operating costs of
your plant and you are ready to do things differently
from your competition, then you should talk to us.
